Welcome to Funble. We are delighted that you have chosen to use Funble for children's books, educational games, audiobooks, videos, and other content. We value the privacy of all our users and understand that you also value the privacy of your children. Therefore, we have created this Funble Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information from our users and website visitors. By accessing or using the Funble website, services, software, applications, and/or content provided by Funble ("Service," "we," or "us"), you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
By using the Funble Service, you also agree to our Terms of Use. Funble Services are designed for use by families. Children can only access the Funble Service through a child profile created by a parent and/or legal guardian with direct participation. In this Policy, "you" or "your" refers to a website visitor or an adult user of our Service.
Information We Collect
While providing our Service, we may collect the following information:
Adult account information: When you create an account, we collect personal information such as your name (optional), email address, password, and your relationship with the child (optional).
Information about your child: We also collect information you provide about your child, including age or grade and a name (or nickname) for your child's profile. We obtain this information directly from adult guardians, not from child users.
Payment information: You make subscription purchases for the Funble Service through Apple. At this stage, all the data you provide is subject to Apple's privacy policy. Funble does not collect any card information from you. We only have access to your mailing address and payment information.
Use of the Service: We collect information about how a user accesses our Service, how long they access it, which content they view, and what actions they take within the Service. For example, we collect information about how many books your child reads, the duration of completing a book, responses to quizzes, and information about your child's reading skills or interests. We also collect any information you voluntarily provide in public forums or through our product features and any information included in communications you send to Funble.
Automatically collected device and usage data related to your use of the Service: Like most websites and online services, Funble and its service providers automatically collect certain information from your device when you access our Services, read our emails, or interact with us online, using cookies, pixel tags, or similar technologies. We collect this information to understand usage, diagnose issues and provide support, manage our Services, facilitate navigation, display information more effectively, remember your settings, and display information based on your account. We collect statistical information about the use of the Services to continuously improve their design and functionality, understand how they are used, and help resolve any related questions. We may also use non-individualized, aggregated information for analysis purposes.
Use of Personal Information
We use the personal information we collect to provide the Funble Service and support, improve, and develop our products and services. Specifically, we may use the collected information for the following purposes:
To provide the features and functionalities of the Funble Service, including any special features or services you may request (e.g., monthly subscriptions), and to provide feedback on your child's reading progress.
To communicate with you, including sending you news and updates about Funble Services (including any updates to product features or policies), sending transaction notifications such as payment receipts or subscription notices, and responding to your emails or inquiries.
To occasionally send promotional or informational communications highlighting new features, programs, services, or other materials that we believe may be of interest to you.
To personalize the Service, including displaying your or your child's profile name and allowing users to create a collection of favorite books, and providing personalized reading recommendations based on your child's interests and reading level, as well as providing support and feedback on adaptive or personalized learning.
To enhance the safety and security of our Services, users, and others. For example, we may use information to authenticate user identities, facilitate secure payments, investigate and prevent activities that may violate our policies or be illegal, respond to legal requests or claims, and enforce our terms and policies.
For analytical purposes, to improve design and functionality, demonstrate the effectiveness of our Services, conduct research, and enhance, support, and improve our Services and other educational products. We may also use the information to analyze aggregated, non-individualized data for specific areas related to the use of the Funble Service, such as showing growth trends.
